WHY CLINICAL PILATES?

 

Our Circular Quay Physiotherapists are the best equipped professionals to provide you with a tailor made, direction specific Clinical Pilates exercise program prescribed and based on your history, aggravating factors, and physical examination.

 

The clinical Pilates exercise program is a series of exercises

performed on a mat ball, reformer, a trapeze and barrel equipment.

The equipment both supports the patient and guides the direction
and type of movement required for the prescribed exercises. The
exercises are designed to work the patient in a specific direction,
for example, flexion, extension, rotation or to the left & right side.

Common to all exercises are concepts of finding and maintaining
a neutral spine, precise smooth movement, breathing
control, central trunk stability, and complete range of motion.

CLASS TIMES

We have two class times to choose from every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for our General Pilates Classes. No prior experience required, but do call or email ahead to let us know what level you’re at and what you’d like to achieve.

WHAT TO EXPECT

ASSESSMENT

A full work up of your body’s movement patterns, strengths and weaknesses will be assessed. Including our in house Ultrasound diagnosis of your core.

GOALS

Daily activities & sporting goals are reviewed and set specific time frames.

INTENSITY

You will be guided through your program in a scaled fashion and as your body responds we will increase the intensity of your program as appropriate.
